Join a Challenge
Enter a trading competition on DeltaDash. This guide walks through the complete process of joining a challenge.
Overview
Joining a challenge involves a 5-step wizard:
- Create Wallet - A challenge wallet is created for you
- Deposit USDC - Fund your wallet with the required amounts
- Transfer to Perps - Move USDC to Hyperliquid Perps
- Fund Challenge Wallet - Transfer starting balance to your challenge wallet
- Register - Pay the entry fee and finalize your registration
Before You Start
Make sure you have:
- A connected wallet on HyperEVM
- Sufficient USDC for the starting balance + entry fee + $1 transfer fee
- At least 0.01 HYPE for gas fees
Finding Challenges
Browse available challenges on the main page. Each challenge card displays:

Total Cost to Join
Before joining, understand the total cost breakdown:

| Transfer Fee | $1 fee charged by Hyperliquid |
| Total Required | Starting Balance + Entry Fee + $1 |
Example: For a challenge with $100 starting balance and $10 entry fee:
- Total needed: $100 + $10 + $1 = $111 USDC
- Plus ~0.01 HYPE for gas fees
Step 1: Create Wallet
When you click Join Challenge, DeltaDash automatically creates a challenge wallet for you.
What Happens
- A new wallet is created (no fees required)
- This wallet is linked to the specific challenge
- Only you can access this wallet
- The wallet is used exclusively for trading in this challenge
What You See
- Loading message: "Creating Challenge Wallet..."
- Success confirmation when complete
- Automatic progression to Step 2
Note: This step is fully automated. No action required from you.
Step 2: Deposit USDC
Fund your wallet with the USDC needed for the challenge.
Balance Requirements
The form shows your current balances in real-time:

Each balance shows a green checkmark if sufficient, or an amber warning if more funds are needed.
Funding Options
Option 1: Direct Deposit
- Copy your wallet address (displayed in blue box)
- Send USDC directly from an exchange or another wallet
Option 2: Fund via Relay
- Click the Fund via Relay button
- Swap from various chains/tokens to USDC on HyperEVM
- Supports cross-chain deposits from multiple networks
Relay Deposit
The Relay modal allows you to:
- Swap from any supported chain to HyperEVM
- Convert various tokens to USDC
- See real-time balance updates
- Continue automatically when funded
Tip: If you have zero HYPE, the Relay modal will warn you. You need HYPE for gas fees on HyperEVM.
Completion
Step 2 completes automatically when you have sufficient balances.
Step 3: Transfer to Perps
Move USDC from HyperEVM to Hyperliquid Perps for trading.
Why This Step?
Your USDC needs to be in Hyperliquid Perps to fund the challenge wallet for trading.
Network Requirement
You must be connected to HyperEVM network to complete this step.
If you're on the wrong network:
- A warning message appears
- Click Switch to HyperEVM to change networks
What You Do
- Click Transfer to Perps
- Approve the USDC transfer in your wallet
- Confirm the deposit transaction
- Wait for the transfer to complete
What You See
- Transfer amount displayed
- Progress indicator showing current status
- Balance cards showing source and destination amounts
Completion
Step 3 completes when your Perps balance reaches the required amount.
Step 4: Fund Challenge Wallet
Transfer USDC from your main wallet to your challenge wallet.
What Happens
- USDC moves to your challenge wallet
- The starting balance becomes available for trading
- A $1 transfer fee is deducted by Hyperliquid
What You See

What You Do
Click Fund Challenge Wallet to:
- Sign the transfer
- Move the starting balance to your challenge wallet
Important Note
You can withdraw funds from your challenge wallet at any time, but you will forfeit your entry fee if you withdraw before the challenge ends.
Completion
Step 4 completes when your challenge wallet is funded.
Step 5: Register
Finalize your registration by paying the entry fee to the prize pool.

Network Requirement
You must be on HyperEVM network to register.
What You Do
- Click Register & Join
- Sign the approval in your wallet
- Confirm the registration transaction
- Wait for confirmation
Insufficient Balance
If you don't have enough USDC:
- A warning shows how much more you need
- Button changes to Top up HEVM USDC Balance
- Opens Relay modal for additional funding
Completion
After registration completes, you'll see a success confirmation.
Registration Complete
When all steps are done, you'll see a celebration screen showing:

Click Done to:
- Close the join modal
- See yourself in the participants list
- Access the trading interface (once challenge starts)
After Joining
Your Wallets
After joining, you have:

Challenge Wallet Features
- Isolated funds - Only your starting balance is at risk
- Trade freely - All Hyperliquid perpetuals available
- Automatic tracking - PnL tracked for leaderboard
- Withdrawable - Funds can be withdrawn (forfeits entry fee)
Waiting for Start
If the challenge hasn't started yet:
- You'll see a countdown timer
- Your position shows as "Registered"
- Trading is disabled until start time
Allowlist Challenges
Some challenges are restricted to specific wallets.
How It Works
- Challenge creator specifies allowed wallet addresses
- Only allowed addresses can join
- Non-allowed users see: "Challenge is Invite-Only"
If You Can't Join
- Verify your connected wallet address
- Contact the challenge creator for access
- Check if you're using the correct wallet
Troubleshooting
"Insufficient Balance" Errors
| Error | Solution |
|---|---|
| Not enough USDC on Perps | Use Step 3 to transfer more from HyperEVM |
| Not enough USDC on HyperEVM | Deposit via Relay or direct transfer |
| Not enough HYPE | Acquire HYPE for gas fees |
Transaction Rejected
If you reject a transaction in your wallet:
- An error message appears
- Click the button again to retry
- Your progress is preserved
Wrong Network
If connected to wrong network:
- A warning appears
- Click Switch to HyperEVM button
- Approve network switch in wallet
Transfer Taking Too Long
If a transfer seems stuck:
- Check your balances manually
- Refresh the page and continue where you left off
Tips for Participants
- Check total cost first - Ensure you have Starting Balance + Entry Fee + $1 + gas
- Have HYPE ready - You need ~0.01 HYPE for gas fees
- Use Relay for convenience - Cross-chain swaps in one interface
- Don't close the modal - Let each step complete before proceeding
- Verify your wallet - Make sure you're using the wallet you want to compete with
